Shredded Chicken:
- 4 to 5 lbs of chicken thighs, skinned.
- 4 thyme springs
- 4 parsley stems
- 2 bay leaves
- 2 cloves garlic, halved
- 1 32 oz chicken broth
1. Combine in crock pot, cook on low for 7 to 8 hrs or high 3.5-4 hrs.
Shredded Pork
- 3-3.5 lbs pork shoulder
- 1 cup chopped sweet onion
- 6 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 20 oz bottle chili sauce
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 2 tbsp cidear vinegar
- 1 tbsp worcestershire sauce
- 0.5 tsp salt
- 0.5 tsp pepper
1. Combine in slow cooker. cook for 10 to 11 hrs on low or 5 to 6 hrs on high.
The idea is the meat to have a mild flavor so it can be easily combine with other sauces for other dishes!
